Many seniors, while participating in the “Meals on Wheels” program, give a portion of their delivered meals to their beloved pets.
The goal of Cindy’s Pets is to provide nutritional food for the pets, so the elderly will enjoy their own meals with the knowledge that their pet is also being taken care of.
The kind people at Pasco County’s “Meals on Wheels” program identify 192 pets owned by homebound seniors who would benefit from the Cindy’s Pets program. Volunteers and donations are needed! Needed: donations of pet food, monetary donations, volunteers to package the pet food, volunteers to deliver the pet food to the homebound seniors.
You can “Adopt a Pet” (for a month or a year). If you choose to Adopt a Pet, the cost per month will be: Cats–$12; Small Dogs–$15; Medium Dogs–$20; Large Dogs–$25.
