When you are having problems with your air conditioning or heating unit – whether it is a weekday, late at night or on the weekend – you need a reputable, honest company that will respond right away. You need a company that promises, “Our business is your comfort!” Vinson Air Conditioning and Heating is that company. It offers same-day service and 24-hour emergency service and you can expect an owner to answer your call. The company has an A-rating with Angie’s List and in 2011, Vinson A/C was awarded with the Angie’s List “Super Service Award.”

Founded in June 2004 by owner/president Michael Vinson, Vinson Air Conditioning and Heating is fully insured and licensed (license # CAC1814136) and services both residential and commercial customers in Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties. Michael lived in Tampa for 35 years before moving to Pasco with his wife Michelle and their children nearly 11 years ago. He had worked for reputable air conditioning companies in the area for many years – he has more than 25 years of experience in the industry – and felt that it was time to begin his own family owned and operated company. So he earned his state certification and built a company on his good work ethic and customer referrals.

Michelle exclaims, “We have always been a referral-based business, and we still are! Our customers always love to talk about us to others! We branched out and put an ad in Neighborhood News & Lifestyles. We look forward to the opportunity to serve your A/C and heating needs. You will find that we are not only family oriented, but we are customer oriented also.”

Vinson Air Conditioning and Heating is an American Standard Certified “Customer Care Dealer.” Each year, only a few companies are certified by American Standard and Vinson A/C has been chosen for three consecutive years. “This honor is earned through hard work in our business and by being a trustworthy dealer/contractor,” explains Michael. “As a Customer Care Dealer, we are graded by our customers through American Standard. It shows our customers that we are held accountable for what we say and do while in their home. We are accountable to our customers, as Vinson A/C is accountable to American Standard.”

Michael explains that they sell American Standard because it is the best unit, “We used to sell other brands but they didn’t hold up. American Standard is an excellent brand.”

Vinson Air Conditioning and Heating services all brands of air conditioning and heating units. And they install ductwork. The crew is “house-trained” and wears shoe covers while in your home, and leave the work area immaculate.

Service technician and installer Steve Meyer, who is also Michael and Michelle’s son-in-law, began working for the company in 2009. Steve is specially trained in servicing American Standard equipment, as well as all other brands of residential and light commercial equipment. “He is amazing with our customers and treats them well,” says Michael. “We are honored to have him on our team. He is more than qualified to meet the needs of all of our customers. He is dependable, loyal, and he has a good driving record as well! We couldn’t be more proud of him!”

To keep your unit in tip-top shape, Vinson A/C recommends their Service Agreement; they come to your home to check the unit twice a year. “It’s important to have your unit serviced,” says Michael. “It’s like getting the oil changed in your car – it’s that important.”

Community Involvement

In addition to managing their business and raising their children, Michael and Michelle were involved in helping with the first built “Green House” with Habitat for Humanity. They are members of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce and one of the sponsors of the upcoming November Golf Tournament for Solid Rock Community School at Crescent Oaks Country Club. Michelle is the office manager and handles everything with complete efficiency and a smile! Additionally, she is involved in many outreach programs.

“I am personally active in a homeless ministry here in our community,” says Michelle. “I volunteer every Thursday at Impact Family Ministries. We provide a church service, hot meal and showers for those that are homeless, or just in need. Our business donates to many charities locally here in Pasco County, and other surrounding counties. We also support an orphanage in the Ukraine, through Life House Ministries.”

Customer Appreciation Goes Both Ways

“God has richly blessed our business with loyal, faithful customers,” says Michelle. The customers likewise appreciate Vinson Air Conditioning and Heating.

“We are blessed to call Vinson A/C and Heating our “A/C People” and more importantly, friends. They are a business that we totally and completely trust,” says Rowena from Clearwater.

Miriam from Palm Harbor has been a Vinson A/C customer since 2009, “One of the few contractors I completely trust. They are knowledgeable and fair. I plan to remain loyal to them!”

“Our experience with Vinson A/C has spanned the past eight years,” writes Jim and Millie McIlvaine of Trinity. “They are reliable, offer competitive pricing, professional, and their service exceeds customer expectations. We have had service on existing equipment as well as upgraded to new installation. Vinson A/C has met all our needs and will continue to be our choice for the future. Without hesitation, we would recommend Vinson A/C to anyone with heating and cooling concerns.”

The Falco family of Hudson was thrilled with their service. “Thank you Vinson A/C for fixing our air. What a blessing it was that they came out right away and got the job done right the first time. Very professional, courteous and reasonable with their prices.”

Trinity residents John and Maria Wallace agree, “Mike and Steve are very honest and reliable. We appreciate the trustworthiness of this company. They are great, hard workers and very timely. They never try to sell you something you do not need. We will always keep up on our annual service now with Vinson A/C.”

“We are glad we chose Vinson A/C,” writes Odessa residents Rob and Joy. “Not only have we been happy with the workmanship, our electric bill has gone down over 1/2 since the work was completed. They are so good that we’ve referred them to our friends and neighbors. Vinson A/C is clearly a cut above the rest!”

And, Ken Dambrosio of Tarpon Springs sums it up, “The Vinson A/C team is a pleasure to work with over the many years that they have been servicing our home and now that we purchased another vacation rental home they have been servicing that as well. I found out in life, you need an excellent doctor, a good butcher, a great dentist and a trustworthy heating and air conditioning team.”
